Developing a Toolkit for Digital in Volunteering

In case you hadn’t heard, we’re in the process of developing a digital toolkit for volunteer managers alongside our Partners at AVM and Gethyn Williams.

We recently held a roundtable discussion to get some ideas on how to shape the toolkit’s delivery and its contents. Based on this, we’ll be working alongside Gethyn and AVM to develop the toolkit and hopefully, we’ll have something for you in early 2024!

If you’d like to be involved, we’d still love to hear your thoughts! Check out this blog post for more info.

Third Sector Climate Impact

One of our latest blogs explores the third sector’s impact on our climate. A recent study from Charity Digital found that 88% of charities are concerned about climate change, but 52% are unaware of the actions that other organisations are taking to reduce their impact.

So what can we do to reduce this impact? And how can we ensure we’re always thinking sustainably and aiming for net zero climate contributions? Read our blog here for more.

How the Culture Pass could revive event volunteering

Across the sector there have been reports that, on average, volunteering numbers took a hit as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The events industry is included in this.

A few European countries (Italy, Germany, France, Spain), have introduced a ‘Culture Pass’, giving young people money to spend on the arts – allowing them to engage with their country’s culture, from buying books to attending festivals and visiting museums.

These culture passes could be key to reviving the events industry and boosting people’s interest in volunteering in these spaces. Read our blog here for more.

Monthly TeamKinetic Masterclasses

Our masterclasses are free to attend and are a great way to connect directly with us, ask any questions you might have, and learn more about particular areas of the system. You can see all upcoming sessions within your system by going to Help & Support → Extra Training.

We’re also always looking for new topics to cover in these Masterclasses. If there’s anything regarding the TeamKinetic system that you’re not quite sure on, you can suggest it and we’ll add it to our list of topics to cover. Please email alex@teamkinetic.co.uk with the subject ‘Masterclass Suggestion’, or use the live chat function on our website to pop in and suggest it there.
