Research Suggests Corporate Volunteering is Worth Billions
According to new research, employee volunteering could generate up to £17 billion for UK charities. However, it seems some corporations just aren’t getting their employees involved.
So what’s stopping them? It could be anything, from having difficulty aligning the organisation’s goals with a charity/non-profit. Maybe they just aren’t looking due to being too busy, or perhaps they just don’t know where to find volunteering opportunities for their employees.
With almost half of people saying they’d like to use skills they develop at work to help their communities, there’s clearly some demand there! Not to mention the vast benefits volunteering provides to both the individual and those they help.
