Could you deliver a session at the Heritage Volunteering ’26 Conference?
The Heritage Volunteering Group (HVG) is on the lookout for workshop hosts for their upcoming conference, taking place on the 24th and 25th of November 2026. This year’s theme is ‘From Passion to Purpose – Leading Volunteer Engagement in a Changing World’, exploring what effective engagement looks like today.
They are looking for highly interactive, 60-minute sessions that focus heavily on discussion, shared learning, and practical takeaways, with a maximum of 20 minutes of presentation time. You can cover any volunteering topic you like, provided your session clearly demonstrates impact.
It is a fantastic opportunity to share your expertise, and hosts will receive a free conference ticket, full technical support from the HVG team on the day, and a dedicated training session with Rob Jackson Consulting on the 8th of October.
If you have some innovative ideas and real-world experience to share, make sure to submit your proposal before the deadline at 6pm on Friday, 17th April 2026.

Mediation Training: Handling Conflict with Confidence in Volunteer Management

Disagreements are a natural part of team dynamics, and when handled early and with care, they can actually strengthen understanding and connection. This interactive online session from the Association of Volunteer Managers will equip you with practical mediation tools, even if conflict resolution isn’t strictly in your job title.
Led by accredited mediator Louise Kelly, the workshop covers how to recognise the signs of conflict, approach disagreements constructively, and use practical communication techniques like reframing, summarising, and managing triggers. It is perfect for volunteer managers, coordinators, and anyone leading teams who want to build their confidence in guiding safe, supportive conversations.
