HVG Conference 2025 – Tickets Now Available for Heritage Volunteering ’25

We’re pleased to announce that tickets for the heritage sector’s flagship volunteering conference, sponsored by Investing in Volunteers, Heritage Volunteering’25, are now on sale via Eventbrite.
The conference will explore the role that volunteering can play in transforming lives and communities. Our packed itinerary includes insightful keynotes, thought-provoking plenaries and engaging workshops designed to help leaders of volunteers develop and transform the work they do.
Speakers include:
- Lisa Ollerhead, Director of the Association of Independent Museums
Keynote: Exploring the impact of the cutting-edge Connected Communities project. - Professor Martin Webber and Dr. Beth Casey, University of York
Session discussing their research and the practical tools they have developed to help organisations build more inclusive volunteering programmes.
Attendees will have the chance to pick from 12 workshops, ranging from creating communities of volunteering to creating a sense of belonging.

AVM Conference 2025

AVM’s flagship annual conference returns this October and remains one of the most valued learning events for volunteer managers, leaders, and heads of volunteering across the UK.
Taking place over two packed days, the event will explore the evolving role of volunteer managers through inspiring keynotes, practical workshops, and thought-provoking panels. This year’s themes include:
- Volunteer experience: from recruitment to retention
- Building infrastructure for volunteering
- Inclusive volunteering
- Wellbeing and professional development for volunteer managers
Keynote speakers include Helen Goulden OBE (The Young Foundation) and engagement specialist Kheron Gilpin. Panels will feature voices from across all four nations of the UK, as well as peers leading volunteer voice initiatives in their organisations.
With 12 workshops to choose from and no dedicated networking slots, the conference is squarely focused on learning, offering real takeaways to support and energise your practice. Delegates can also connect with sponsors during lunchtime sessions.
