TeamKinetic News and Events
TeamKinetic Conference
Our annual conference will return on Wednesday 24th September and tickets are available now!
This year, we’re focusing on what comes after volunteer recruitment. From reward and recognition, to reporting and the future of digital in volunteering.
We’re still finalising our speakers and session content and will share an agenda with you as soon as we can. But you can expect to hear from experts across the world of volunteer management, with real-life case studies from volunteer programmes across the UK.
TeamKinetic users can secure their place for free now – check your email/system notifications for the code. Everyone else can attend for just £10 – bargain!
The latest TeamKinetic Update is now live!
We’re pleased to say that TeamKinetic’s newest major release is live on all systems now. So, what’s in the new update? Here are some of the highlights…
- ‘ToDo’ Tasks for Administrators: Admins can now set themselves ‘ToDo’ tasks against volunteers, handy!
- Volunteer Check In/Out: Keep track of when your volunteers have attended and for how long with this new check-in/out feature.
- Improved Bulk Action Tools: If you ever need to add lots of volunteers to lots of sessions, then the bulk add tool is perfect for this.
- HTML Styles and Links in Opportunity Descriptions: Spice up your opportunity descriptions with font styles, text sizing/colours, and links. There’s also a new AI helper to help you generate opportunity descriptions.
- Folders for Organising Resources: Organise your resources into folders to make it easier for your volunteers and providers to find exactly what they need.
Watch videos on all these features via this playlist.
And much more! Check out the complete list of new stuff over on our blog post here.
Mobile App Update
We’re also pleased to let you know that the latest update to our mobile apps is almost complete. The update is packed with improvements that make things much more in line with the desktop version. And with added features, bug fixes, and better usability all around.
You’ll be able to manage HourTrades directly from the app, access all your resources (downloads, links, text, etc.), and see opportunity badges and session descriptions just like you would on the web.
The app will also support HTML in opportunity and event descriptions, so your links and styling will show up properly on mobile too. Searches are also faster and smoother, loading 25 results at a time as you scroll.

Digital in Volunteering Toolkit – Community of Practice
The Community of Practice is in full swing now. Our members have full access to all resources, including the Digital in Volunteering Toolkit and our event recordings.
Our last event saw us take a deep dive into Connectivity, Interoperability, Marketing and Communications in volunteering. We had a range of amazing guests who all gave their insight and shared real-world examples of how digital has been used to connect volunteers and organisations, promote opportunities, and more.
You can catch the recordings on the CoP website, here. (Joining as a member is free!)
At our next event, on Thursday 11th September, we’ll be taking a look at Reimagining Reward and Recognition With Digital. We’ll cover everything from day-to-day engagement tools within Volunteer Management Systems (VMS) to bespoke reward platforms, with space to discuss legal considerations, best practice, and real-world case studies.
You can get your tickets for that event here.
User Training
Monthly TeamKinetic Masterclasses
Maximise your volunteer’s experience, become a customisation ninja
Wednesday 3rd September, 10:00am – 11:00am
Join Steve in this session on customising how your system looks and performs.
This session will explore the key areas where thoughtful customisation can shape the volunteer experience and add real value. We’ll look at what each section does, why it matters, and share practical examples of what’s worked well across the sector over the past decade.
By the end, you’ll have a clear understanding of where the customisation options are, how they affect your volunteers’ journey, and how to use them effectively to create a more tailored and impactful experience.
You can see all upcoming training sessions and masterclasses within your system by going to Help & Support → Extra Training.

We’re also always looking for new topics to cover in these Masterclasses. If there’s anything regarding the TeamKinetic system that you’re not quite sure on, you can suggest it and we’ll add it to our list of topics to cover.
Please email alex@teamkinetic.co.uk with the subject ‘Masterclass Suggestion’, or use the live chat function on our website to pop in and suggest it there.
