TeamKinetic User News
Winning Big with TeamKinetic
We’ve recently been busy with conferences, events, and our user feedback survey. But did you think we weren’t going to give back to the lovely people out there in the sector? Here’s a roundup of some feel good wins:
- For our 2025 User Satisfaction Survey, we sent out a £100 gift card to a random user. This was won by Abbi Taylor, the Data and Insight Officer at Lincolnshire Community and Voluntary Partnership. She was “really chuffed” at the prize… well Abbi, we’re really chuffed you took the time to give us some excellent feedback about TeamKinetic!
- At our recent visit to the National Volunteer Management Conference in Ireland, Jess Sinnott of the Irish Heritage Trust, won a £50 voucher to spend at Faerly.ie. Jess said “I’ve never won anything before in my life”, we’re glad we could make your dreams come true, Jess!
Some other wins include… - Brian Murphy from Hope Rescue who won 1 year’s free use of TeamKinetic. Lucky!
- Shareen Akhtar of Manchester Dogs Home and Christine Blythe, Burnley Pendle And Rossendale Council For Voluntary Service (BPRCVS) who both received a £50 Etsy Voucher.
Manchester Museum Recognised
Talking about winning big, we want to send a big congratulations to everyone at Manchester Museum as it was recently named European museum of the year!
The 138-year-old museum impressed judges with its bold approach to telling new stories, working closely with communities, and tackling its colonial past head-on.
After a £15 million revamp, the museum now features a co-curated South Asia Gallery, a hub for climate action and social justice, and even a rare toad conservation project. It’s also home to Pinc College, supporting neurodivergent young people through creative learning.
Personally, I’m a huge fan of the frogs!
We’re proud to say Manchester Museum uses TeamKinetic to help manage its brilliant team of volunteers too.
“We want to provide multiple perspectives to equip people to navigate this crazy world we’re in, to understand it, to build empathy for other people and the natural world. We think one of the most powerful ways of doing that is to expand the stories we tell. You know, the stories of the collectors, the institutions, we’ve been telling those 100 years. It’s time for some new ones.”
Esme Ward, MAnchester Museum Director
Heritage Volunteering Research Project
Make Your Mark, Volunteer Scotland and Our Past, Our Future are conducting a heritage volunteering research project, and they want to hear from you! The research seeks to better understand heritage volunteering in Scotland and how the heritage sector can work together to make volunteering accessible, inclusive and enjoyable for everyone.
The research is two-part:
- Survey for heritage volunteer organisers/managers: http://bit.ly/MYMorgsurvey
- Survey for heritage volunteers: http://bit.ly/MYMvolsurvey
The deadline for responses for both surveys is Monday 16 June.
Responses to the surveys will inform what support Make Your Mark offers to volunteer-involving heritage organisations in Scotland, and will help Make Your Mark advocate for their needs within the sector and beyond.
