TeamKinetic User Satisfaction Survey
We recently asked our users for feedback on all things TeamKinetic, from the software itself to the support we provide.
Thanks to everyone who filled out our feedback survey! Here’s a quick roundup:
You’re happy!
95% of you are satisfied, and most find the platform easy to use. You love the reporting, volunteer tracking, and bulk email tools.
Some things to work on…
Some of you want clearer menus, better filtering, easier login, and more email automation. A more user-friendly calendar and survey tools are also on the wishlist. We’re taking this feedback on board and working on new changes to reflect your feedback.
Gold star support
93% are happy with the service, support is quick, and live chat is super helpful. Just a note: some help videos need updating!
Content is king
You see value in the Digital Toolkit and are keen to connect more through the Community of Practice. You’ve also been enjoying our monthly masterclasses and our yearly conference.
Would you recommend us?
Most of you said yes, we really appreciate it!
Thanks again for your feedback – it helps us keep improving!
Digital in Volunteering Toolkit – Community of Practice
Last year, we launched the Digital in Volunteering Toolkit, but now we’re excited to kick off the Community of Practice. This is a space for volunteer managers and leaders to:
- Access – hear about future Toolkit updates and related training opportunities.
- Learn – share digital knowledge and experiences with their peers.
- Influence – bring our collective voice together to advocate for our needs in digital technology.
We’ll be hosting a series of monthly events to take a deep dive into connectivity and interoperability and how this relates to using digital in our marketing and communications.
As well as a first opportunity to see and access new Toolkit content, these monthly online launches will bring together knowledgeable guests from across the world of volunteering. They’ll be sharing their digital experiences. Book tickets for our first event now!
26th June: Connectivity, Interoperability, Marketing and Communications
Guests include: George Grima (Doit), Jess Young (Volunteer Centre Greenwich), Nicola Gower (NLG Digital), and potentially more!
We’d love for you to join us. You can sign up for the community of practice and get your hands on part one of the toolkit here.
Evaluating What Matters
Exploring how to capture and showcase social value beyond the pound
Last month, Joanne Irvine, a social designer with a background in international development cooperation, joined us to deliver a special guest masterclass!
Joanne talked about how using participatory design and focusing on values like joy, connection, and confidence can help us better understand the true social value of projects. She pointed out that volunteers often don’t get the recognition they deserve, and that relying too much on numbers and economic data can miss the bigger picture.
Her session shared a values-based evaluation framework created for Glasgow Life, which puts more weight on collecting personal stories and emotional insights to show the real impact of volunteering.
You can also read her guest blog for more insight into the session and her experience in the sector.
TeamKinetic users can register for masterclasses via your system – Help & Support → Extra Training.
If you’re not a TeamKinetic user, you can secure tickets for free here.
TeamKinetic Updates – Desktop and Mobile
The latest TeamKinetic update is here, and it’s packed with features that make life easier for volunteer managers and admins.
You can now assign ToDo tasks to other admins, check volunteers in and out using QR codes, and personalise bulk emails with volunteer names. The updated system also sends out session reminder emails automatically, so you’ll have no more last-minute no-shows!
Adding volunteers to sessions is quicker with new bulk tools and filters, and extended session descriptions help people pick the right shift. Flexible opportunities now show which days they’re usually available, making it clearer for volunteers to plan ahead.
There are big improvements to expense claims too. You can set mileage rates, see travel distances, and manage claims more easily. Plus, resources can now be organised into folders, so volunteers can actually find what they need.
You’ll also notice a tidier volunteer profile layout, better custom fields, and a helpful new AI tool that can write your opportunity descriptions for you.
There’s loads more under the hood to improve stability and performance.
Check it all out over on this blog post.
We’re also pleased to let you know that the latest update to our mobile apps is ready for launch. It’s packed with improvements that make things much more in line with the desktop version. And with added features, bug fixes, and better usability all around.
You can now manage HourTrades directly from the app, access all your resources (downloads, links, text, etc.), and see opportunity badges and session descriptions just like you would on the web.
The app now supports HTML in opportunity and event descriptions, so your links and styling will show up properly on mobile too. Searches are also faster and smoother, loading 25 results at a time as you scroll.
Read more about it in this blog post.
