Volunteer Management Insights from Rosie Wylie
For our latest episode of the pod, Chris and Imo welcomed Rosie Wylie to TeamTalk. Rosie has roles with Historic Environment Scotland and Volunteer Scotland. She takes us through her journey, from her beginnings as an 18-year-old volunteer in Australia to her pivotal roles in community services back in Scotland.
This episode also explores challenges in volunteer management, such as coordinators feeling undervalued and under-resourced. We take a deep dive into the Make Your Mark campaign, aimed at boosting volunteer diversity and participation in Scotland’s heritage sector. Rosie shares the campaign’s goals, from upskilling volunteer managers to developing inclusion tools and networks for sharing insights and solutions.
