Blog: How to Utilise The Big Help Out as a Sporting Organisation

It’s Volunteers’ Week and The Big Help Out is just around the corner. The idea behind The Big Help Out is all about small, easy, opportunities to get people into volunteering for the first time.

While this is great, it doesn’t always fit with sporting organisations. They run on dedicated volunteers who know the club inside and out.

Sport volunteering at The Big Help Out is all about creating short-term tasters that can become sustainable long-term opportunities in the future.

In our latest blog, we take a look at how to get involved as a sporting organisation.

Blog: Empowering Heritage Preservation through Volunteer Management

Heritage and culture organisations rely on dedicated individuals to do vital work. Our latest blog highlights the importance of effective volunteer management for heritage organisations and shares some great resources to take a look at.

User Training

Monthly TeamKinetic Masterclasses

Our masterclasses are free to attend and are a great way to connect directly with us, ask any questions you might have, and learn more about particular areas of the system. You can see all upcoming sessions within your system by going to Help & Support → Extra Training.

Our next Masterclass is Wednesday 26th June, 11:00am – 12:00pm on Setting Up And Using Roles

Are you using Roles? And no, we don’t mean roles as another word for opportunities.

In TeamKinetic, Roles are a set of tasks a volunteer must complete before being allowed on any opportunity attached to that Role. This makes them a great tool for onboarding your volunteers. They can be better than using custom registration or profile questions in many cases.

In this month’s masterclass, you’ll learn how to create a role, add it to an opportunity, and process your role applications.

We’re also always looking for new topics to cover in these Masterclasses. If there’s anything regarding the TeamKinetic system that you’re not quite sure on, you can suggest it and we’ll add it to our list of topics to cover. Please email alex@teamkinetic.co.uk with the subject ‘Masterclass Suggestion’, or use the live chat function on our website to pop in and suggest it there.
