Labour MPs generally have a favourable attitude towards charities, with the majority viewing them as a force for good. This bodes well for the future relations between parliament and the sector as a whole.
Community Life Survey Feedback
The Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) is gathering feedback on their Community Life Survey.
The survey provides insights into community engagement, volunteering and social cohesion across England. It’s a useful tool for any volunteer-involving organisation.
Respond to the consultation (online response form) by Thursday 23rd May to have your say. DCMS will use feedback to make sure the survey reflects sector needs.
The Big Help Out
Organisations are already gearing up for this year’s Big Help Out. You can post opportunities and register to volunteer via their online portal now. Just visit their website to get started.

22-23 Adult Active Lives Survey
Recently, Sport England launched the findings of their Adult Active Lives Survey. It looks at behaviours in sport and physical activity, with some interesting findings surrounding trends in volunteering.
