AVM: Mentoring Scheme
The Association of Volunteer Managers have opened a great mentoring scheme for their members.
Participants can either sign up as mentors or mentees. Mentees will receive guidance and support from people who understand the challenges of leading volunteers and working in the voluntary sector. It is a great opportunity for anyone starting their career or looking for some career development.
Anyone can be a mentor, no matter how far into their career they are. As long as you have lived the experience of engaging volunteers and have knowledge that you can pass on, you are mentor material.
