It will include a few new features that we think will be great for a lot of our users. We also recently hosted a masterclass to discuss the new stuff and help you get to grips with it all. But if you missed it, don&#8217;t worry, there&#8217;ll be another one after the update has been released.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Flows<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Flows is a self-contained engine that seamlessly moves your volunteers through onboarding steps. If this sort of thing isn&#8217;t your cup of tea, don&#8217;t worry. You can turn the feature itself on\/off in Settings. This year&#8217;s theme is <em>&#8216;From Passion to Purpose \u2013 Leading Volunteer Engagement in a Changing World&#8217;<\/em>, exploring what effective engagement looks like today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They are looking for highly interactive, 60-minute sessions that focus heavily on discussion, shared learning, and practical takeaways, with a maximum of 20 minutes of presentation time. A brilliant scheme developed by the Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust (SaTH) and Helpforce has saved the trust an impressive \u00a386,000 in just six months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A dedicated team of 17 volunteer drivers has been stepping in to transport patients who need regular treatments, such as kidney dialysis, or require a lift home after being discharged. But volunteers don&#8217;t just drop patients at the door; they make sure they are settled in, checking that essentials like heating, lights, and water are up and running after a long hospital stay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project&#8217;s efficiency is clear, with 98% of patients collected within 30 minutes of discharge, drastically reducing the hospital&#8217;s reliance on ambulances and taxis.
