It\u2019s packed with improvements that make things much more in line with the desktop version. And with added features, bug fixes, and better usability all around.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You&#8217;ll be able to manage HourTrades directly from the app, access all your resources (downloads, links, text, etc.), and see opportunity badges and session descriptions just like you would on the web.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The app will also support HTML in opportunity and event descriptions, so your links and styling will show up properly on mobile too. This is connected to the <a href=\"https:\/\/teamkinetic.co.uk\/blog\/2024\/12\/digital-in-volunteering-toolkit-launch\/\">Digital in Volunteering Toolkit<\/a> we developed and launched last year. The CoP is a space for volunteer managers and leaders to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Access<\/strong> &#8211; hear about future Toolkit updates and related training opportunities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Learn<\/strong> &#8211; share digital knowledge and experiences with their peers.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Influence<\/strong> &#8211; bring our collective voice together to advocate for our needs in digital technology.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>We&#8217;ve also kick-started a series of events to take a deep dive into different aspects of the Toolkit as well. Online Searches for Volunteering Are Up 13%<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>New research shows a growing appetite for volunteering in the UK. Online searches went up by 13% over the last year. Places like Oxford (+96%) and Swindon (+78%) saw especially big jumps in interest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The fashion industry topped the list for offering the most paid volunteering days per employee, but it\u2019s the legal and construction sectors leading on how many companies offer volunteering leave in the first place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the same time, some sectors like transport and retail saw a big drop in volunteering opportunities, suggesting operational pressures are getting in the way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The report encourages charities to:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Be clearer about the skills they actually need.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Make roles more attractive and accessible (less admin, more flexibility!).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Manage recruitment through one streamlined system.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Show impact!
