TeamKinetic 2024 Launch Event<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
We have some amazing new updates and integrations for you to kick off the new year. Please join us for a free launch event<\/a><\/span> on Thursday 22nd February from 10am to see everything in action for the first time. Read on for more details\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n We’re thrilled to finally announce the launch of the brand-new, enhanced TeamKinetic App. Our new app brings the power of our desktop platform to your fingertips. It’s also more user-friendly and modern with a redesigned and intuitive interface. Read more about the App here.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n The base TeamKinetic app will be free for all users. However, if you\u2019re an Enterprise user, you are eligible for a white-labelled version of the app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Read more about the app here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We’ll be celebrating this release at our launch event<\/a>. Where we’ll showcase the app in real time and answer any questions you may have. <\/p>\n\n\n\n As if that wasn’t enough, we are also excited to be launching our integration with Tempo Time Credits<\/a>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n You will soon be able to motivate your volunteers through the TeamKinetic system with exciting, real-life rewards. Volunteers can earn Tempo Time Credits as part of a reward and recognition scheme. Credits can then be exchanged for a range of services and activities provided by local and national Recognition Partners.<\/p>\n\n\n You can see this process in action at our launch event, with speakers from TeamKinetic and Tempo. Our ‘Manage Your Volunteer Programme’ session is an exciting in-depth look at how to use TeamKinetic on a day-to-day basis to manage your volunteer programme better. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Partly hands-on, Steve will talk you through setting up opportunities and allow you to see the system from different user’s perspectives. After completing this module you will have a good understanding of how each user type interacts with the system, and how to communicate effectively and manage your volunteers and service providers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Book now through your system by going to Help & Support \u2192 Extra Training.<\/strong> Our masterclasses are free to attend and are a great way to connect directly with us, ask any questions you might have, and learn more about particular areas of the system. AVM’s session aims to give you some guidance to help you start having these conversations while highlighting their importance. They’ll also cover how you can have conversations with your organisation productively and positively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Find out more about the scheme here.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n Throughout January and February 2024, The Vision for Volunteering will be hosting online conferences on each of the Vision themes individually. This included discussing the place of AI in volunteering, volunteer management and overall volunteer engagement. In fact, he even blogged about it all the way back in 2018!<\/a><\/em> In this month’s TeamTalk, amidst some interesting conversations around AI, why no revisit the topic?<\/p>\n\n\n\n It\u2019s no secret that AI can save you a lot of time. For volunteer managers<\/a>, AI could be used to recruit volunteers; help you write detailed opportunity descriptions, create a list of onboarding questions, and even draft thank you letters for your volunteers. All this allows you to prioritise the human aspect of your role. Ultimately, AI can speed up admin tasks, giving you more time to connect with your volunteers regularly and consistently. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Away from volunteering, AI has also contributed towards some pretty amazing things. Read more on that here.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n Of course, it\u2019s not all sunshine and roses when it comes to AI. While it can be a great tool to aid you at work, it has the potential to threaten the safety of jobs worldwide. If AI has the ability to replicate jobs being completed by humans, the knock-on effect will be lower demand for human labour, lower wages, and potential loss of jobs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Generally, AI should be used to complement your role, not replace it. For example, you can use AI tools like ChatGPT to write the outline of your volunteer descriptions if you\u2019d like, but make sure it still has that personal touch. AI cannot replicate what makes each human unique. Within your organisation, you should make sure that any AI solutions you use align with your values and overall mission. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Overall, AI offers a great solution to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of volunteering and volunteer management. By using AI, you can also gain a deeper understanding of social issues, tailor your volunteer programs to meet the needs of volunteers, and ultimately make a greater impact in your community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Some AI tools to aid volunteer managers: The 2024 Volunteers’ Week will launch on Monday 3rd June and continue until Sunday 9th June. As part of Volunteers\u2019 Week this year, the Big Help Out will also be taking place from Friday 7 to Sunday 9 June. Stay tuned for more news!<\/p>\n\n\n\n Other stories:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n The LFC Foundation, along with Liverpool Region Mosque Network and staff from Liverpool FC, recently helped deliver 300 food hampers to people across the city. These hampers contained food and other essential items and were delivered to combat the rising cost of living.<\/p>\n\n\n We’re proud to have supported the work of the LFC Foundation since 2018 and applaud the work they’ve done for their community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Find out more here.<\/a> It’s been a year since Manchester Museum reopened their doors and to celebrate, they’re throwing a party to thank everyone who made it possible. The party will take place on the 18th of February, from 10am until 5pm. We’ve been to visit a few times and have been so impressed with the new look and what they offer to the public.
